Summer 2025 Teaching Internships - Induction Day

Class of 2025!

On Thursday 19th June, our 22 interns made their way to Notre Dame High School for their induction. The interns received training and guidance on

• Life in a school
• Safeguarding
• Professionalism
• Finance
• Behaviour management

Our interns also went on a learning walk in the school, but not before they were given advice on what to look for when observing a lesson. Tom Sherrington’s post ‘How to Observe a Lesson - and Make a Difference’ was used to give interns guidance and pointers on engaging with the lessons they were observing. This also helped with reflecting on practice seen around behaviour.

It was a busy day packed with information and learning new things, we can’t wait to see what our interns get up to in their placement schools!
